11:15amAnnual Parochial Church MeetingThe Annual Parochial Church Meeting at which the Churchwardens are elected, the accounts for 2018 accepted and various reports received is on Sunday 7th April after the 10am Parish Mass. Now the Electoral Roll has been finalised and has come in at over 100, there are now 2 vacancies on the PCC. Nomination forms from the parish priest. Please take a booklet from the Meet & Greet table which contains the agenda for the meeting and all relevant reports.

2:00pmFuneral Mass for Fr John Corbett RIPFr John David Corbett SSC RIP. A faithful priest for over 60 years Fr Corbett died after a long struggle with ill health and fortified by the Sacraments of the Church on Saturday 30th March in QA hospital. Ordained to the priesthood in 1958, Father served his title in the Exeter Diocese and worked in parishes in Peterborough, Winchester and Rochester and in retirement served an exemplary ministry to most of the anglo-catholic parishes in Portsmouth. His wish was that his funeral mass be celebrated at Holy Spirit, which he regarded as his ‘home’ parish. There will be a reception in the hall afterwards.

A resident at the Home of Comfort and often brought to Church in recent months by Colin and Caroline, Bill died peacefully after a short illness recently. Fr Russell will officiate at his funeral at Portchester Crematorium this afternoon at 1pm.
